Hymns to Hestia
In Greek mythology, Hestia is the humble and peace-loving keeper of the hearth. She makes and preserves the “home fire” that is so essential to the domestic and religious life of the ancient Greeks. And she is powerful in a most unusual way. Inspired by stories about Hestia, let’s examine and celebrate those who keep hearth and home— in mythology, the Bible, and other literature— as well as in life.
