There are so many different expressions of love, but I think the most sought after by far is unconditional love. The kind of love that always creates space right in the middle of a relationship space for our quirks, our mistakes, and our generosity.

Unconditional love can be found in everyday occurrences, like the space created for a pets greeting when we come home, or the space created for a toddlers tall tale, a teenagers angst, a partners difficult day, or the space held along side a hospital bed. Unconditional love is the space in the middle that is always there when we need it, to absorb the hurt, and to embrace us with warmth and understanding. Gods unconditional love is just like that, and works through each of us.

This Advent season we have been creating space in the middle of whatever you are doing to be embraced in the promise of hope, the possibility of peace, the spirit of joy, and this week, the grace of unconditional love. My hope is that these moments have given you a gift of calm reflection each week at this busy time. May you find ways to create space for unconditional love in the middle of your significant relationships.

Peace and joy,
Nancy
