The Homeless Foundation recently announced that they have been given he opportunity to take over the former Peavey Mart Administration Building and Warehouse, east of the Olymel Plant, to provide shelter and coordinated services to unhoused persons in Red Deer, named Project Nexus.
It’s intended as a temporary shelter, as users receive support that will lead to a move to more permanent and stable accommodations in the community.
This is an important step for the City of Red Deer and this presentation will give valuable information to those in attendance as the Public Hearing will take place at the end of February.
