This is a weekend opportunity for men to
gather and be challenged on a physical, mental and spiritual level.
The facility provides a fully-equipped kitchen for the preparation
of our meals. We have had a large number of participants willing
to share their culinary expertise make meal preparation and partaking
of the food a tradition we greatly enjoy. There is also a recreation
room for use during our free time. This year, Rev. Paul Mullen
will plan the program for the weekend. As with previous fall retreats,
you can challenge yourself to go outside of your normal comfort
zone within a caring and supportive group.

This group provides a post-winter opportunity
for some physical activity and enjoyment of our natural environment.
After two years of canoeing and two of white-water rafting, the
group will travel to the West Country to partake in an activity
or two of their choice. Possible activities include hiking, mountain
biking, fishing, ATVing, and dirt biking.

This group started last year, and will meet
three times in 2006-2007. Each session starts with a pot luck
supper, moves into an icebreaker where we catch up with where
everyone is at, and concludes with a discussion on our topic of
the evening
We encourage new attendees, and have had
frequent feedback from first time attendees that they were surprised
how inclusive and honest the group was.
Possible topics for the year include:
• "Kicking the Crap out of Christmas"
• "The Bible for Dummies" - What's in? What's out? Who cares?
• "Finding Your Inner God - Without Becoming Insufferable"
• "I'm OK, You're OK - Why Do We Feel So Rotten?"
• "You've Got It All and It Isn't Enough"

Lance Wolgemuth, manager of Body Basics,
will be our host for drop-in squash for the months of October
to April inclusive. No experience necessary. Opportunity exists
for going for a coffee or a snack after the matches. Wow! No charge
for this activity.

This is an informal opportunity to meet
with other men of our congregation to talk about such things as
sports, the workplace, local current issues, music, holidays,
and toys for boys. This year, we will have a "check-in" - a "caring
and sharing" each month. During any lunch gathering, you do have
the opportunity to bring up a topic of concern, to share your
thoughts with the group, and obtain feedback from those present.
Check our website or Sunday bulletin for the location of the month's
restaurant. Call Paul Hryniuk to be placed on an email/telephone
call list. Come each month or when you can.

IN MARRIAGE

This weekend long, workshop event
invites couples in committed relationships to work on their communication,
and strengthen their love as a couple. Couples of any age, orientation
or faith who are committed to each other will work towards a stronger
and more meaningful future together.

AFFIRM
Meets : 7PM on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (Sept.-June.)
Activities include: Support and fellowship, potlucks, film nights,
workshops, and discussions on faith and social justice issues.

Affirm United works through
education and social integration to welcome diverse peoples,
especially for the inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender
persons in the life and work of the church. This national group
is a worship, pastoral, prophetic community celebrating biblical
and theological liberation. Methods of achieving this is through
the Affirming Ministry and Emerging Spirit programs. Affirm
is composed of people of all sexual orientations and gender
identities (LGBT and questioning, friends, family and allies)
and so it is open to all people who support these goals.
SUNNYBROOK
ADULT CHOIR

If you love to sing, then this is the
group for you. No auditions are required to join and the ability
to read music is not mandatory. The choir participates in worship
by providing leadership for the hymns and offering a special
selection each week. Come have some fun, sing out loud and meet
a great group of people.
