Church in the World Committee

 Educates and encourages the congregation to action on a variety of social and justice issues.  Supports Time for Mother Earth, the Mission and Service Fund, and a variety of other organizations.

Emerging Spirit Committee

Faith Formation Committee

 Co-ordinates all education and community building groups, events, and courses.  This commiittee is responsible for Sunday school, youth groups, family events, adult learning, Vacation Bible School, and Friends of Affirm.

Finance & Property Committee

Organizes finances, maintenance, renovation and repairs of the building and property.

Ministry & Personnel Committee

Offers the support necessary for growth of ministry personnel & other paid staff.

Pastoral Care Committee

Co-ordinates support of newcomers, shut-ins, and sick and bereaved members of the congregation. Sunday morning transportation for those in need is also organized.

Refugee Committee

 Initiates and facilitates the safe settlement of refugees, sponsored by this congregation, into the community of Red Deer. Raising funds, gathering household items and on-going support are co-ordinated by this committee.

Resource Development Committee

Develops, tracks, and recruits the resources needed to maintain the ministry of this church including the time, talent, and financial gifts of the congregation.

Stewardship Committee

Promotes stewardship of our time, talents and givings through mindful education on the importance of stewardship, for our church and the wider community.

United Church Women (U.C.W.)

Offers opportunities for friendship, service, spiritual and personal enrichment for women.

Worship Committee

 Coordinates activities that result in meaningful worship experiences. This includes co-ordination of scripture readers, coffee hosts, greeters, ushers, sound technicians, music, special services, and decorating of the sanctuary.
